Thank you!The piece was completed back in Dec. of 1995. My original thumbnail drawing book with notes indicates around 30 hours of execution. The majority of time I spent on the piece was noodling it once the colors were shot in with airbrush. The reference came from a ST calendar of the same year the piece was created. All of the images were clean to work from with the exception of the Kirk head. I remember the pose of Shatner was washed out and not easy to see subtle facial details. To compensate, I simply made 3 variant b/w copies at various darkness', which allowed me to find the missing lines, shadows and shapes. I colorized and plugged in the missing information. Too, this was before Photoshop, so I had to rely on my Canon copier. Cavemen rule!
